"After all these years of painting Thoroughbred racing, I will be better known for this painting than for anything I have ever done. It depicts the search and rescue team of Skip Fernandez and his beloved dog Aspen, in the rubble of the Murrah Building in Oklahoma City. The poster of this image has helped raise money for the ASPCA, canine search and rescue, the Oklahoma Memorial, and the families of New York City firefighters who died on 9/11."
